Johnny Ruth is committed to conducting its business affairs in a socially responsible and ethical manner consistent with the guidelines set out by the International Labour Organization (ILO). Our tagline, 'integrity in style' is something we strive to live and work by. We are committed to ensuring that our business practices provide, among other things, nothing less than a living wage to our manufacturers and that these practices respect and honour both our global community and our environment.

This mandate means that our relationship with our suppliers is defined by our ability to hold them accountable to the guidelines mentioned above.

Transparency, although not a new word, is a new and exciting concept in the clothing industry and one that inspires us greatly. A company that seeks to become transparent is a company that not only adopts ethical business practices but also allows a system of accountability that is open to both customers and suppliers.

At Johnny Ruth we are committed to becoming transparent. Our Code of Conduct outlines in detail the measures we are taking to ensure that our company fills it shelves with transparent clothing and accessories. We want our customers to test us on this and in fact will encourage it, as we intend to be on the front line of a new wave of socially responsible retailers.

If you would like to be considered as a supplier of merchandise to Johnny Ruth you will be required to submit a completed Confirmation of Compliance form (provided upon request). Furthermore you will need to ensure that your subcontractors, suppliers and manufacturers are in compliance as well.

This process is, as we see it, the best thing we can do to contribute to our vision of the world as a fair, honourable and responsibility-based economy that provides honest pay for honest work that treats everyone equally. As a global citizen, we believe it is the least we can do.
