Kim Winsor - Owner/Manager/Buyer/Trainer/Creative Force

The reigning queen of all things Johnny Ruth, Kim W. is the steam in the JR engine. Opening the doors in October 2005 was a natural segue from a life-long love of retail that saw her working in and managing stores in downtown St.John's.

Today she is an expert at determining and meeting her customers needs and is very passionate about "bringing fearless, fun, functional and funky clothes to our awesome customers!"

Kim trains all of the JR divas in exceptional customer service and says, "It is so much fun working with amazing women and to be able to embrace their individuality and their strengths."

When she is not working Kim likes to explore new places. Whether it's a tiny hamlet on the Northern Peninsula or an African township to learn some new dance moves, Kim gets around as often as her schedule allows and loves every minute of it. With her time off in town she can often be found enjoying some of St.John's incredible live music or in the summer hanging out with friends at a bonfire on one of our beautiful beaches.

Elizabeth Lake - Floor Manager/Buyer/Merchandiser/Dress Boutique Babe/Right Arm

A long time employee of downtown St.John's, Elizabeth came on board at JR in September of 2008 and honestly, we can't imagine having existed without her! 10 years of retail experience ensured that Elizabeth hit the ground running and has since impressed not only the management team but each of her customers as well.

For Elizabeth the highlights of working at JR are "the staff, the customers, and of course being in the heart of the city." She has particularly embraced Johnny Ruth's ethical policies and most recently being a part of the buying team, which she says gives her unique insight into the retail purchasing process.

Very family oriented, Elizabeth enjoys spending her free time with her mom and her beloved partner. "Surrounding myself with loved ones helps my world feel very balanced and me feel blessed."

Elizabeth has also recently embraced a healthier lifestyle, the keys to which she considers to be healthy food, exercise and laughter!

Claim to Fame: Customer Love. "I enjoy taking that extra step to make sure they leave the store with a smile on their face and some pep in their step!"

Angela Hajek: JR Diva/Photographer/Merchandiser/Adventurer

Joining the JR crew in early 2010, Angela brings a strong background in retail and merchandising. She likes to have fun with customers and their wardrobes, selecting unique pieces and working with individuals to create amazing outfits. Nothing makes Angela happier than when a customer leaves excited and confidant about a new purchase outside of her normal comfort zone.

With a passion for photography, design, marketing, and travel, Angela hopes to one day run a successful freelance business. When she's not on the sales floor, she is busy working on photos for our JR Newsletter and website. She's not afraid to take on new projects and enjoys the challenges and lessons she learns along the way.

Claim to fame: Creating the wicked window displays with her partner in crime Audrey!

Audrey Flynn - JR Diva/Downtown Newbie/Window Dresser

The latest addition to the JR team, Audrey comes to the store with a wealth of retail experience and heaps of enthusiasm to dig right in! She is new to the dynamic downtown community and revels in the energy and feel that comes from being a part of this historic district.

Audrey loves how personal the shopping experience is at JR. From the relationships the store has with their designers to the ones they create and nurture with their customers, she enjoys being a part of it all and appreciates the hard work required to keep these relationships working.

One of the highpoints of working at JR for Audrey is witnessing the trust that the customers have in the staff to be able to help them build their wardrobes. She believes that "every woman is beautiful and she should use her personal style to stand out and be the pink flamingo on the great lawn of life!"

Audrey is interested in art (she is currently on the hunt for a 'melting clock;) interior design and the exciting fashion world. She's likes baking cupcakes of all kinds and says, "They are my weakness!"

Kayla White - Part Time JR Diva/Limit Pusher/Teamster

"It feels so great to be a part of such a fabulous team here at Johnny Ruth!"

Kayla very much appreciates the ethical standards that JR supports, saying "they make her really proud to work here!" She loves the fun and energetic environment that being a part of the JR team provides, saying it "makes it possible to enjoy coming to work each day."

A native of St.John's, Kayla is currently finishing up the 4th year of her French degree at MUN and has her eye on a teaching career in the high-school immersion area. She loves to travel and has had a passion for French culture since she was a little girl.

Claim to Fame: Pushing people beyond their usual limits and getting them into new pieces that they would never think to try. "It is so fun to help our customers look and feel amazing!"

Kate Dinn - Part Time JR Diva/Funster/ Ballerina

Kate's love of helping her customers is the main reason she fits so well into the JR team. Some of her finest moments are "watching their faces light up when they see what everyone else sees - how fabulous they look!"

Kate loves her job. " I feel so welcome and appreciated. The staff are fabulous and they all get along so well that coming to work doesn't feel like coming to work!"

When not working at JR, Kate is working towards her BA in French and Linguistics at MUN. She is leaning towards a teaching career in primary and elementary school. Her passion lies in the area of dance. She has taken ballet lessons since the age of 3 and continues to enjoy advanced classes and performing recitals.

Claim to Fame: Excellent knowledge of the fit and feel of each piece that comes into the store because she can't wait to try everything on!

Pam Hogan - Numbers Natural/Office Angel/Diva (a real singing one!)

Pam is extremely happy to be a part of the team at Johnny Ruth. Originally from Gander, Pam is a recent graduate of The College of the North Atlantic with a 3-year diploma in Business Management Accounting; she runs the office like a well-tuned engine.

Pam says her job as JR's Accounting Clerk provides her with excellent training and experience in her chosen field while also allowing her the flexibility to continue her studies at MUN. She loves hiking along the east coat trail, enjoying great food (especially with a nice glass of red wine), and has a huge love of music.

"I am a creative person at heart, with a background in performance and voice. Working at JR I am surrounded by creativity and inspiration and I feel supported both professionally and individually. What a truly unique and wonderfully good place to be!"
