The Newfoundland Dog, a beloved icon in the rich history of Newfoundland, proved to be the ideal inspiration for a stamp. Released on January 2, 1932, this distinctive Newfoundland Dog Stamp remained in circulation until Newfoundland joined Confederation in 1949. A pedigreed Champion Newfoundland Dog was used as a model for this adorable stamp!
